Dr. Medwed was born and raised just outside of Chicago. She attended the University of Iowa for her Undergraduate degree and went on to study dentistry at Midwestern University-Glendale, Arizona.

After graduating, Dr. Medwed moved to Nashville and started Hillsboro Dental.

In her free time, Dr. Medwed enjoys painting and yoga. She also enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and a competitive game of pickleball.

Dr. Medwed is also a contributing journalist for the digital media outlet: FOCUS on the 615. Writing for FOCUS has given Dr. Medwed the opportunity to experience the best of Nashville.

Rachel has been a dental hygienist for 8 years. She loves her career because of the confidence a healthy smile can bring! She is dedicated to her patients and strives to keep appointments comfortable and light hearted. She enjoys relating oral health to systemic health, challenging patients to give excellent customer service and attention to detail. Rachel is also very devoted to her family and her spirituality. If she’s not at the office, she’s most likely crafting something up, researching Nashville’s food and music scene, or looking for an adventure outdoors!
